Could you make a difference in someones life by being a HomeShare Host?

Our HomeShare hosts tell us they get a huge sense of reward from seeing the person they care for ‘blossom’ under their care. They also know that they are providing a change of environment for the person they support and often they are giving the person’s usual carers a break from their caring responsibilities.

HomeShare Hosts come from all walks of life, some are retired, some work full time, or part time jobs, some have families, some don’t. There’s no upper age limit to being a host, as long as you feel fit and healthy. Hosts can be individuals, or couples.

Being a HomeShare Host is a voluntary role although Homeshare Hosts do recieve an allowance to cover essential additional expenses (please note: The allowance may have tax implications and you may wish to get professional advice).

Hosts can support people in their own home, or out in short breaks in the community.

If you decide you would like to be a HomeShare Host we are there to support you every step of the way. Our Mo Shaol team will make sure you have the right training and guidance, including professional social work support, so you can be confident in your role as host.

We are on call for whenever you need us.
